Trenton Golden Hawks earn win over Lindsay Muskies

BELLEVILLE – The Trenton Golden Hawks brought home a 7-4 win Tuesday night over the Lindsay Muskies at the Lindsay Recreation Complex.
“We’re happy to win. It is always a tough rink to play in Lindsay,” said Marty Abrams, head coach of the Golden Hawks.
Players Kevin Stiles and Mac Lewis led the team offensively, Abrams said.
The Muskies “are a team that has vastly improved. They gave us everything we could handle, and it is always a hard time playing in that rink.”
When asked about their loss, Muskies head coach Dan West said, “I think both coaches would probably agree that it was a fairly sloppy game.
“We had a tough start. There is a lot to be down and out about, but the (team is continuing) to stay positive about it. We did a lot of good things (Tuesday) night and are getting better every day.”
The Golden Hawks’ next game is Friday against the Cobourg Cougars at the McDonald Memorial Gardens in Trenton.
