BELLEVILLE – A committee of the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board has agreed on next year’s school calendar.

At a meeting of the program and human resources committee Monday, Cathy Portt, superintendent of educational curriculum services, laid out the proposed 2018-19 calendar. The committee approved it unanimously.

The calendar sets the first day of school for Tuesday, Sept. 4. The first day of the second term is Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, and the last day of school is Friday, June 29.

The calendar must still be approved by the board and the Ontario Ministry of Education.
