Frankford and Trenton men charged with impaired driving
BELLEVILLE – Quinte West OPP charged two men with impaired driving within 90 minutes of each other early Thursday morning.
The first was a 47-year-old man from Frankford. At 1 a.m., police reported, they stopped a vehicle on Glen Miller Road in Quinte West after noticing the driver was speeding. The man was charged with impaired driving and driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.
He was released on a promise to appear in court.
At 2:20 a.m., an officer noticed a vehicle on Dixon Drive with its lights out. Police stopped it and determined the driver was intoxicated.
A 26-year-old Trenton man was charged with impaired driving, refusing to provide a breath sample, possession of a prohibited weapon and driving with a suspended licence.
Both men are scheduled to appear in court on April 12.
