Brighton fire department appoints new deputy chief
BRIGHTON — Brighton has a new deputy fire chief.
Jeff Ogden will be taking over the position of deputy fire chief and fire prevention and training coordinator.
For more than 20 years Ogden has been a member of the Brighton Fire Department and has been a resident of the municipality.
A news release from the municipality says that Ogden will have the responsibility of managing and coordinating the municipal fire prevention and training programs in order to ensure maximum service potential of all members of the department.
The release quotes fire chief Rick Caddick.
“I am extremely pleased with the appointment of Jeff to the management team of our department. Jeff has shown leadership in our department in many ways over the years and I look forward to working with him in his new role.”
As deputy chief, Ogden will take responsibility for the operation of the fire department in the absence of the chief.
“I look forward to continuing to serve the community, that my family and I have always called home,” stated Ogden in the release.
His new responsibilities will start on April 30.
