Weapons and drugs seized in simultaneous police raids
BELLEVILLE – Two people are facing multiple weapon and drug charges after police executed three drug warrants earlier this week.
A third is facing drug charges.
The Frontenac and Napanee OPP say their Street Crime Unit and the Kingston Police participated in a joint investigation that led to the controlled drugs and substances warrants.
The warrants were executed in the South Frontenac, Kingston and Loyalist Township on Wednesday, police said.
The first two warrants are the ones that resulted in arrests.
A 47-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman from South Frontenac were charged with, among other things, two counts of possession of unauthorized firearms. Police say both firearms were loaded and one was stolen.
Police say large quantities of marijuana and ecstasy were also seized, and both suspects are facing charges related to them as well.
The Kingston warrant resulted in a 47-year-old Kingston man being charged with possession of drugs.
