Belleville Senators win their first game of 2018/2019 hockey season
BELLEVILLE – The Belleville Senators won their first game of the season against the Manitoba Moose this past Saturday.
Scoring in the first two minutes of the game, the Senators took the Moose by the horns right from the start of the game. After a goal by the opposing team tied the game up 12 minutes in the BSens took back the game and maintained their lead against the Moose from the first intermission to the final buzzer. Winning the game with a score of 6-2.
Senators players, Drake Batherson and Filip Chlapik, scored two goals each and the remaining two goals were scored by players, Rudolfs Balcers and Jordan Murray.
CJ Suess, scored both goals for Manitoba.
Highlights of the game include, the first win for the team this season, Batherson scoring his first professional goal, and the first win for the Senators coach Troy Mann.
The BSens play their first home game on Wednesday against the Binghamton Devils.
