Several stunt driving charges laid in Napanee
BELLEVILLE – Three men are facing stunt driving charges each one was going over 150 kilometres per hour on Highway 401 near Napanee this past weekend.
On Saturday, a 28-year-old man from Brampton was clocked going 156 km/h on Highway 401 which is a 100 kilometres zone. Police say the man’s license was suspended and his car was impounded for seven days.
A taxi was called to pick up the man and his four passengers.
Another man is also facing stunt driving charges Saturday. The 29-year old North York man was stopped by the Beechwood Drive overpass on the 401 passing through Napanee going a speed of 152 km/h. Police say that the man’s car was impounded and his license was suspended for seven days after the charge was laid.
A 32-year-old Kitchener man is also now facing stunt driving charges after being clocked going 159 km/h. The man was driving westbound on the 401 through the Town of Greater Napanee. This resulted in the man’s car and license were suspended, as well, along with his car being impounded.
