Wellington Dukes lose close game against Cobourg Cougars
BELLEVILLE – The Wellington Dukes lost a tight game against the Cobourg Cougars, 4-3 Monday night in Cobourg.
The Cougars opened the scoring in the second period with two straight goals, including a short-handed goal from Cougars defenceman Deaglan Small. At the end of the period, the Cougars were up 2-0.
The Dukes made it a one-goal game after defenceman Ben Roger put one in the net, but the Cougars would fire back with two more goals to take a 4-1 lead.
Wellington would get two late goals but the comeback fell short and the Cougars won 4-3.
