MPP Todd Smith assumes new role in cabinet

BELLEVILLE – Todd Smith, the MPP for Bay of Quinte, will assume a full-time role as minister of economic development, job creation and trade in a cabinet shuffle announced Monday morning.
Smith will also continue his responsibilities as government house leader.

The change was announced Monday when Premier Doug Ford met with Ontario Lt.-Gov. Elizabeth Dowdeswell over changes to his executive council after the resignation of Jim Wilson, who previously held Smith’s position as minister of economic development, job creation and trade.
