Wellington and Trenton junior hockey players selected for All-Star game

BELLEVILLE – Ten local players have been selected to compete in the eighth annual Eastern Canada Cup All-Star Challenge being held at Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens at the end of the month.
Trenton Goldenhawks players Samuel Duchesene, Griffen Fox, Michael Manner and Mason Hardy will join Wellington Dukes players Zach Uens, Tyson Gilmour, Elijah Gonsalves, Andrew Rinaldi, Dalton Bancroft, and Daniel Panetta during the tournament running from Nov. 19 until Nov. 21.
Rinaldi and Gilmour currently have 31 points, tied for fourth in OJHL scoring, while Uens has been named a player to watch by NHL central scouting for this year’s NHL draft.
There are 12 teams in total made up of 240 players from five leagues who will compete in a tournament with four teams from the Ontario Junior Hockey League and two teams from each of the Central Canada Hockey League, the Maritime Hockey League, Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League and Quebec Junior Hockey League.
A total of 21 modified two-period games in a round-robin.
