BELLEVILLE – Tonight at Queen’s Park, six paramedics from the Hastings, Northumberland and Quinte regions are being recognized for at least 30 years of public service.
Locally, Graham Bent, Paul Gentile, Roger Litwiller and John Scott are receiving their first bar for the emergency medical services exemplary service medal. James L. Anderson and John O’Donnell are receiving their second bars for forty years of service.
The award celebrates paramedics who have shown excellent conduct, high merit and efficiency in their work.
In total, 77 paramedics from Ontario are being honoured at the ceremony by the Honourable Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier of Ontario and Minister of Health and Long-Term Care.
