BELLEVILLE – Cities across the globe are working to “orange the world” as part of a movement to end gender-based violence, and Belleville is no exception.
The local Grandmother’s Advocacy Network has brought the Orange Campaign and 16 days of activism against gender-based violence to the city.
The campaign started on Nov. 25, known as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and wraps up on Monday with International Human Rights Day.
This week on In Touch with Quinte, Syerra Turry learns more about the movement from three local GRAN members.
