BELLEVILLE – Belleville residents will be spending the night outside in cardboard boxes during the harsh weather conditions in support of transitional housing.
Sleep Out So Others Can Sleep In is an event hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association of the Hastings-Prince Edward Branch. It was created to promote awareness of homelessness, and is also a fundraiser to help raise money for Belleville’s transitional homes.
It will be it’s 12th year, and the event will take place in the Market Square from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Jan. 26.
