Belleville Senators’ five-game road trip may decide playoff chances

BELLEVILLE – The Belleville Senators head into their third game in a five-game road trip Wednesday night against the Laval Rocket at 7:30 p.m. in Laval.
But their record on the road has been subpar this season. The team’s road record is six and 12, compared to 12 and eight at home.
The Sens are in the last place in the north division but are five points away from a spot in the playoffs. They place 26 out of 31 teams overall with 38 points.
The team recently signed forward Morgan Klimchuk, who comes from Saskatchewan’s capital, Regina. He has played two games for the Sens so far and scored in Saturday’s game against the Grand Rapids Griffins. The Sens lost that match five to two.
