Belleville police seeking witnesses in robbery, assault

BELLEVILLE – Police are searching for two men who may have important information regarding the victim of a robbery and assault.

On Friday evening, Belleville police say they believe two men were leaving a local restaurant when they came across the elderly woman who was robbed and assaulted near Newberry Street. Police say the two men drove her to a nearby pharmacy and left her in the care of staff.

Police say the two men were driving a black pick-up truck.
