Loyalist College Open House welcomes over 1,500 students

The Open House at Loyalist College was a great success, with over 1,500 high school students learning about college programs, said event organizers.
Coordinator of Recruitment and Special Events Chantal Dilts said high school students came in over 40 buses to look into specific programs at Loyalist College and 22 other Ontario Colleges. Only two colleges didn’t make it to the event.
“Organizing’s always hectic, and there’s always challenges with organizing a large event like this, but it went really smoothly and everything pulled together. We had a really successful event without any hitches.”
Every program featured at Loyalist College had a presentation booth set up in the cafeteria and gymnasium from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00p.m. Tour guides were available in front of the security desk by the cafeteria for tours through the school, and some programs had interactive presentations along the tour.
Restaurants in the cafeteria were made available to all visitors closer to the end of the Open House.
