Prince Edward County schools closing early due to weather
By Brett Bullen
BELLEVILLE – All schools in Prince Edward County are closing early Tuesday due to bad weather, the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board has announced.
While buses had already been cancelled Wednesday because of snow squall warnings and blowing snow creating blizzard-like conditions, schools stayed open. But early Wednesday afternoon, the board tweeted that the schools would close at 1 p.m.
The schools were calling parents and guardians to alert them that they would have to pick up their children.

The early closure of the schools comes after there were four snow days last week.
