All-candidates debate at the Empire Theatre Wednesday night
BELLEVILLE – All candidates for the Bay of Quinte riding will be centre stage at the Empire Theatre Wednesday night.
The federal debate, hosted by the Belleville Chamber of Commerce, will begin at 7 p.m. and will open its doors an hour earlier. It is free to attend with no reserved seating.
Liberal candidate Neil Ellis, Conservative Tim Durkin, PPC Paul Bordonaro, Green Party Danny Celovsky and Stephanie Bell of the NDP will all be in attendance.
The event will give Belleville voters the chance to have their voices heard and will also give candidates the opportunity to win over the community by presenting their party’s platform.
A key topic at these local debates thus far has been climate change. QNet News covered last week’s debate in Picton where climate change dominated the conversation.
The debate comes a night before the 100 Debates on Environment meeting at Centennial Secondary School. Belleville is one of a hundred locations across the country hosting an all-candidates debate on the environment.
More to come.
