Facing drug charge, Belleville woman now facing new count
BELLEVILLE – A Belleville woman is facing a charge of failing to appear for fingerprinting on an earlier drug-related charge.
Belleville police reported Tuesday morning that they responded to a phone call Monday evening about a woman in medical distress in the city’s east end. When they arrived they identified the woman as having outstanding arrest warrants. They took her to Belleville General Hospital.
Later the woman was released from police custody on a promise to appear in court.
The 41-year-old woman is to be in court Oct. 24 to face a charge of failing to appear for fingerprinting on the earlier charge of possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
