BELLEVILLE – Two houses and two vehicles caught on fire in Ameliasburgh Wednesday morning after a propane tank exploded.
QNet News talked to Prince Edward County deputy fire chief, Robert Rutter, who said they were called to 379 County Road 19 at 4:54 a.m. after the tank exploded between that house and the house next door.
The explosion started a fire at both houses. The fire then spread to two cars at one of the residences. One of the cars eventually exploded, he said.
Thirty-six firefighters, from three different fire stations, were at the residences to put out the blaze, Rutter said.
Hastings-Quinte paramedics were called as a precaution but there were no injuries, he said.
