Several car accidents in Belleville, but no injuries

BELLEVILLE – There were several car accidents in Belleville on Tuesday, but no injuries, Belleville Police say.
The first accident was a two-car collision at the intersection of Church Street and Victoria Avenue at 3:54 p.m., police say.
A 75-year-old woman was charged with failing to stop at a red light.
Then there was a two-car accident on MacDonald Avenue at 4:07 p.m., according to police.
A man was charged with driving with an improper class of driver’s licence.
Police responded to a two-car accident at 4:58 p.m. on Dundas Street East near Herchimer Avenue.
An 81-year-old woman was charged with failing to yield to traffic.
At the intersection of Bridge Street East and Herchimer Avenue at 7:32 p.m., there was a two-car collision with one car fleeing the scene.
Police located the car and charged a 66-year-old man with failing to remain at the scene of an accident and driving without insurance.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec 2.
