Truck fire closes eastbound Highway 401 near Shannonville

BELLEVILLE – A truck fire on Highway 401 Tuesday morning closed the eastbound lanes on Highway 401 near Shannonville.
As of about 9:30 a.m., only one lane was still blocked, according to the OPP, and the highway was expected to be fully opened shortly.
According to media reports, emergency crews were called to the scene where a pickup truck was fully engulfed in flames on the eastbound 401 at the Salmon River.
