B-Sens come up short in overtime
BELLEVILLE – The Belleville Senators fell 3-2 in overtime against the Manitoba Moose in Wednesday’s all-Canadian matchup.
Filip Gustavsson was in net, making 34 saves on 37 shots. Eric Comrie won the between-the-pipes battle, allowing two goals on 32 shots.
Joseph LaBate and 2017 first-round draft selection Josh Norris scored the goals for the Senators. Erik Brannstrom picked up two assists.
TSN Hockey analyst Simon Boisvert applauded the Senators’ heavy usage of their young guns on the power play.

Manitoba’s Michael Spacek won the game for the Moose in overtime.
Picking up one point Wednesday, the Belleville Senators lost sole possession for first place in the North Division in the American Hockey League, moving into a tie with the Utica Comets with 50 points.
The Senators are off until Saturday when they take on the Griffins in Grand Rapids, Mich.
