Belleville man killed in Highway 37 crash

BELLEVILLE – A two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on Highway 37 south of Tweed has claimed the life of a Belleville man.
Central Hastings OPP say a loaded tractor-trailer and car collided just after 3:30 p.m. near Thomasburg.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as 45-year-old Daniel Taylor.
The highway was closed in both directions as officers investigated, eventually reopening at 4:20 a.m. Thursday, according to a tweet from the OPP Communications East Region.

The OPP technical collision investigator and reconstructionist are assisting with the investigation, according to Central Hastings OPP.
