BELLEVILLE – The Cobourg Cougars‘ third game of the Ontario Junior Hockey League season was an action-packed night.
They had a 4-0 win against the Lindsay Muskies on home ice on Monday with a game that lasted nearly three hours.
The Cougars’ 2021-22 season kicked off Friday, with the team travelling to Quinte West and taking on Trenton’s Golden Hawks. The final score was 9-5 for the Hawks.
The team’s second day of action was held in Cobourg for a 4-3 game against the Wellington Dukes on Saturday, going into overtime to steal the victory.
Monday’s first goal was scored by Trevor Hoskin, followed by another from Steven Whittle.
The third goal of the night was by Isaac Pascoal with no assist.
And the final point to win the game was thanks to George Krotiris.
Cougars fans can see the team play again next week against the Golden Hawks at the Cobourg Community Centre.
Fans will need to be fully vaccinated, wearing masks and following social distancing procedures.
