BELLEVILLE – Two men nearly died Monday of overdoses from what is suspected to be fentanyl, according to Belleville police.
A 36-year-old Belleville man was found on the floor of a North Front Street hotel room at 11:30 a.m., police say. He was rushed to Belleville General Hospital. After being cleared from the overdose, he was taken into custody by Ottawa Police over an outstanding arrest warrant.
At 5:30 p.m., a 49-year-old man from Consecon was found slumped over in the passenger seat of a vehicle in a hardware store parking lot on Bridge Street East.
