BELLEVILLE – A physician from Bancroft has been ordered by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario to not provide any medical exemptions related to COVID-19.
The College’s Investigations, Complaints and Reports Committee ordered Dr. Mark Raymond Trozzi to stop issuing medical exemptions in relation to COVID-19 vaccines, masks or testing as of 11:59 p.m. on Friday.
The order also requires Dr. Trozzi to post signs stating the restrictions, with translations in any language(s) he services in, at all the locations he practices, in a clearly visible and secure spot, at all times regardless of his physical presence.
These also include waiting rooms, examination rooms and consulting rooms.
“If providing care in a virtual setting, Dr. Trozzi shall display the sign to the patient at the outset of the patient encounter,” says the CPSO website.
Dr. Rochagne Kilian of Owen Sound was also ordered to comply with these restrictions on the same day.
