School bus accident results in minor injuries
The Jaws of Life were put to use Wednesday as a vehicle rear-ended a school bus on Moira Street in Belleville.
Belleville Police officer Brad Stitt said the bus had only one child and driver on board and they were uninjured.
A silver Chevrolet impala struck the shortened school bus at around 2:45 p.m. at the corner of Moira Street and Marshall Road.
It took Belleville firefighters approximately 20 minutes to free the driver.
Stitt said the driver sustained only minor injuries but was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
