Baby born by the roadside

Before hundreds stopped by to watch Santa roll down the street in the annual parade, another unexpected gift was delivered.
A baby boy was brought into the world, not by a doctor, but by his father and Belleville Police Constable Mark Hall said police in a release.
In the wee hours of Sunday morning, around 4:30 a.m. a red vehicle flagged Hall down as it sped to the hospital. Realizing what was happening, Hall called EMS and began to escort the pair, soon to be trio.
As they began on their way to Belleville General Hospital the red car pulled into the Metro parking lot.
It was go time; the baby was ready to come out.
Hall and the father delivered a healthy baby boy in the passenger seat and EMS arrived soon after.
EMS brought both mother and son to BGH where they are still recovering said police.
