Wrapping up the holidays at Loyalist
By Mike Morris
A Loyalist College student volunteer group got together across from the campus bookstore to raise money by wrapping Christmas presents for various expenses on Tuesday.
Enactus Loyalist College’s public relations department set up shop in front of the Alumni Hall. They were wrapping Christmas presents to raise funds to pay for expenses, such as for transportation costs for a competition. Justin Reis, a member of the group, said Enactus is a student run organization and works with community partners in the Bay of Quinte community.
Enactus uses an entrepreneurial approach to improve the quality of life and standard of living for members within the community. The group’s outreach programs will address the economic, environmental and social needs of community members.
