Police make arrest in hit-and-run case

BELLEVILLE – Police have arrested a 32-year-old Belleville woman in connection with a hit-and-run accident last month.
A 46-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in a shopping plaza parking lot at 44 Moira St. W. on the morning of Oct. 7. The woman suffered serious injuries and is still undergoing treatment at Belleville General Hospital.
The female driver has been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident and dangerous driving causing bodily harm. She was released from custody with conditions and a promise to appear in court in December.
