Stirling-Rawdon residents invited to comment on police-chief hiring

BELLEVILLE – The Stirling-Rawdon police board is seeking the public’s input in its search for a new police chief.
The board will be listening to public opinions during an open meeting Tuesday at the Stirling-Rawdon police building.
The search has been on for a new police chief after former chief Brian Foley’s contract was not renewed at the end of 2013.
The board has said that it wants to have a new chief by the end of April, and hopes that Tuesday’s meeting helps with the process.
OPP Staff Sgt. Christina Reive is serving as interim chief.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.
