No leads on disembodied foot

BELLEVILLE – Northumberland OPP are asking for assistance from the public in a very strange investigation that started last fall.
On Sept. 11, a disembodied foot in a size 11 women’s running shoe was found washed up on the shore at Presqu’ile Provincial Park in Brighton. Analysis revealed that the foot had come from a man’s body.
The OPP detachment still doesn’t have any leads in the investigation, Const. Karen German told QNet News Thursday.
“Because of the circumstances behind it, with the nature of the foot being washed up, it could belong to anybody,” said German.
One of the hardest parts of the investigation is trying to find out where the rest of the body could be, she said.
“Given the fact that it came out of Lake Ontario, the options are unlimited,” she said.
