BELLEVILLE – High-school students will be cooking a storm this weekend at Loyalist College.
The Junior Iron Chef Competition and Food and Beverage Show will begin at 10 a.m.in the Loyalist Dining Hall.
The competition, which is hosted by second-year culinary management students from Loyalist, is a chance for high-school students to show off their culinary skills in a competitive environment. Teams of students will cook a three-course meal for judges. Cooks have two hours in the Club 213 kitchen at the college to prepare three plates in hopes theirs will be the winner.
While students work to perfect the best dish, the public can check out the Food and Beverage Show. There will be tastings and demonstrations.
