Todd Smith re-elected in Prince-Edward Hastings
BELLEVILLE – The Todd Smith era in Prince-Edward Hastings will continue for another four years after Smith was re-elected in the Ontario provincial election on Thursday night.
Smith got 41.6 per cent of the popular vote with 19,210 votes, beating out Liberal candidate Georgina Thompson by just over 4,000 votes. NDP candidate Merrill Stewart received 8,829 votes in third place.
Smith was first elected in the 2011 provincial election by a smaller margin. He said he looks forward to representing the people at Queen’s Park and will continue to work on the local projects he’d started.
More to come.
