Trenton Golden Hawks in Georgetown to take on the Raiders
By Tyler Renaud
BELLEVILLE – Two first-place Ontario Junior Hockey League teams will do battle when Trenton faces off against Georgetown for the first time this season on Friday.
Trenton is first place in the entire OJHL with 15 wins and only three loses this season. Georgetown has the best winning percentage in the league, winning 11 games and only losing two to take first place in OJHL’s West Division.
Trenton has been offensively dynamic as they are first in the league in total goals scored. Meanwhile, the Georgetown Raiders have been defensively dominant as they have allowed the fewest goals in OJHL.
The Raider’s have the OJHL’s leading scorer, Steve Hladin, who has 33 points in only 14 games played this year.
Trenton isn’t without it’s own stars. Golden Hawks goalie Justin Kapelmaster has been their golden boy this year, posting GAA and save percentage that rank in the top three in the OJHL.
Puck drops 7:30 p.m. at the Gordon Alcott Arena.
