BELLEVILLE – The Madoc branch of the Hastings and Prince Edward Counties Health Unit is closing Dec. 18, but a representative insists that services won’t be lost as a result.
The office, which serves Centre Hastings residents living in Madoc, Marmora, Stirling and Tweed, covers everything from well water testing to flu vaccines.
Janet Moorhead-Cassidy, the health unit’s director of health promotion, said the office’s closure has been a slow process.
She said ultimately, the branch is closing because the lease is up.
