Belleville man arrested after almost two years of avoiding police
BELLEVILLE – After avoiding police for almost two years, a Belleville man has been taken into police custody.
In June 2012, the Ontario Provincial Police received complaints of continuous inappropriate phone calls to a home in Centre Hastings.
These phone calls were targeted at three young females.
A man was arrested and charged. But in March 2013, the suspect failed to make a court appearance.
After the failed appearance a warrant for his arrest was issued.
On Dec. 9, 28-year-old Belleville man was charged with making indecent phone calls and criminal harassment.
He is scheduled to appear in bail court on Dec. 10.
