Quinte regional science and technology fair coming to Loyalist College
BELLEVILLE – The 56th annual Quinte Regional Science and Technology Fair is coming to Loyalist College on April 11.
The fair will be held at Loyalist College in the gym. Elementary and high school students will be judged from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and again from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The general public is invited to view the projects from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Over the years many entries from Belleville have won national recognition. The fair provides a number of prizes and awards for students.
For example, The City of Belleville/Veridian Award is awarded to a project that demonstrates a subject matter relevant to a city, its departments and infrastructure. Holly Tetzlaff from Harry J Clarke Public School won this award last year.
The winning teams have the opportunity to compete at the Canada-wide Science Fair in Fredericton, New Brunswick in May.
