Quinte’s January property market heats up
BELLEVILLE – January’s housing sale numbers are promising if you are looking to sell your home in 2015.
The numbers in January’s Market Watch from the Quinte and District Association of Realtors show the value of property in this area has risen since January 2014.
The average residential sale price of 2015 is $215,150 compared to $207,135 last year, an increase of almost four per cent.
This month’s report also showed an increase in new residential listings compare to last year, from 492 in 2015 to 425 in 2014.
Interest rates are still at a 5 year low after the Bank of Canada’s announcement to cut the country’s key interest rates.
