Trenton woman charged with assault after driveway dispute
BELLEVILLE – A dispute between two neighbours led to a 44-year old woman being charged with assault late Monday night in Trenton.
Two female neighbours on Sidney Street were arguing heatedly over vehicles being blocked in a driveway they share, according the Quinte West OPP. One woman is alleged to have confronted the other about the parking issue, entered the second woman’s home and assaulted her.
The woman was arrested on the scene and charged with being in the house unlawfully in addition to the assault charge. She was released from police custody on a promise to appear in court, with a date set in April.
OPP Constable Maggie McCaughen told QNet News she expects there will be no more communication between the two.
