Three men charged in Trenton theft case
BELLEVILLE – Quinte West OPP have charged three men after items were stolen from vehicles in Trenton’s east end.
Early Thursday morning, the police received reports of men going through vehicles near Weeks Avenue. Three men were arrested at the scene, and were found to be in possession of several items stolen from parked cars in the area, according to Const. Maggie Pickett.
Two men from Trenton, one age 18 and the other 20, and a 17-year-old man from Windsor, Ont., were charged with trespassing at night and possession of property obtained by crime. The 18-year-old man was also charged with possession of drugs and the 20-year-old with failing to comply with a court order.
All three men were released on a promise to appear at the Quinte Courthouse in Belleville in May.

- Keeping your keys with you.
