Brighton AppleFest is underway

BELLEVILLE – There is no better way to start celebrating fall than at the Brighton AppleFest.
For 41 years, the town of Brighton has opened its streets and community to welcome hundreds of thousands of people to the event.
The festival will be held from Sept. 23 to Sept. 27.
Events for the weekend include: a street fair, car show, children’s village, theatre production, food and more.
Thursday’s festivities begin at 7:00 p.m. with the Arts Club at 8 Loyalist Drive (in the industrial park).
The “Hike With Us” series: Fall into spring walk starts at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the Proctor Park Conservation Area.
Brighton Kin Club’s pancake breakfast at Veterans Way and Main Street is Saturday morning. Breakfast is $6.00 per person. Two men from Trenton will be competing in a strong man competition later in the day.
A dog show at the ball diamond at King Edward Park is on Sunday morning.
