The Bulls are gone from Belleville, but the support isn’t

BELLEVILLE – Two buses full of Belleville Bulls fans made the three-hour trip from Belleville to Hamilton, Ont., to watch the Hamilton Bulldogs last Saturday.
The Belleville Bulls were abruptly sold in March and moved to Hamilton. On Saturday, they started a new chapter as the Bulldogs.
More than 150 Bulls fans – dressed in red, black, white and gold – filled the two centre sections at the First Ontario Centre. Don Cherry was also in attendance to drop the puck for the ceremonial faceoff.
Qnet News spoke to fans who went about their experience.
Sofija Reston, one of the fans on the trip, commented on Facebook saying the group was well represented.
The Bring Back the Bulls group has scheduled three more bus trips for this OHL season: Nov. 6 to Oshawa, Nov. 13 to Kingston and Jan. 9 to Peterborough.
