Trenton and Frankford may soon regulate store front colours

BELLEVILLE – New colours may be coming to the facades of businesses in downtown Trenton and Frankford.
Quinte West’s Economic Development Committee has been in discussion with the City of Quinte West to put in place a regulated colour palette for downtown businesses to use on their signage and business fronts. The committee recently settled on using the same colour palette used by the city of Cobourg, according to Quinte News.
Christina Edwards-Scott, the Economic Development Coordinator for the city, says businesses can apply for grants in order to revitalize their storefronts. In order to be eligible for the grant they will have to agree to use the prescribed palette if the plan goes through.
