  • October 29, 2015 at 1:58 pm

By Ashley Clark and Selena Steele-Clough

BELLEVILLE – The World Health Organization announced Monday that red and processed meats pose a cancer risk.

The organization has put these meats in the same health-risk category as cigarettes.

A study from the International Agency for Research on Cancer says that people whose diets contain a lot of red and processed meat are more likely to get colon cancers.

QNet News talked to some Loyalist College students and a popular local butcher shop to get their reaction to the news.
