Kellogg’s Belleville expansion beginning soon
By Mo Cranker
BELLEVILLE – The Kellogg’s plant in Belleville will be expanding by 30,000 square feet over the next few weeks.
The expansion will add increased production capacity and additional warehouse space, according to Kris Charles, a Kellogg’s spokesperson.
The plant currently employs around 100 people locally; this expansion could create up to 10 new jobs, Charles said.
The Belleville plant makes cereals such as Krave, Froot Loops, Special K High Protein and Frosted Mini-Wheats. According to Charles, the plant will continue to make these products, but will have the capacity to handle increased volume after the expansion.
The plant will be approximately 236,000 square feet when the addition is completed.
