BELLEVILLE – A motivational speaker who was born without arms came to Belleville to speak to students at St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School on Thursday.
Alvin Law was born with a malformation caused by his birth mother’s use of Thalidomide, a drug commonly used in the 1960s to cure morning sickness. Law is now a successful author, an award-winning musician and has raised nearly $200,000,000 for non-profit organizations such as United Way and Boys & Girls Club. He formed AJL Communications Ltd. in 1988 and has since shared his “Attitude Revolution” message to over two-million people worldwide.
Law spoke at St. Theresa’s in the Learning Commons as a part of the school’s Wellness Matters Week.
