OPP to hold technology symposium for new recruits
BELLEVILLE – The Ontario Provincial Police are in search of tech-savvy individuals to become police officers.
The OPP will be hosting a Technology Policing Symposium on March 5 for those interested in becoming a provincial constable. The event will take place at Sheridan College in Brampton on the David Campus and will run from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Those interested must be recent or potential graduates from an Ontario post-secondary institution with experience using technology-based applications.
The event will be host to multiple guest speakers, including Staff Sgt. Vern Crowley from the technological crime unit of the OPP’s electronic crime section.
Applications need to be submitted before midnight on Feb. 11 in order to be considered.
