Afternoon speedsters caught in Belleville

BELLEVILLE – Two separate speeding incidents Tuesday afternoon were recorded by Belleville Police.
First, a 57-year-old Belleville man was tagged by an officer going 126 km/h in a 60 km/h zone down Airport Parkway. The man was charged with stunt driving and his driver’s licence was suspended for seven days. His vehicle was also impounded for seven days. He will appear in traffic court on Feb. 22.
Then, less than an hour later, a 35-year-old Belleville man driving east on Highway 2 was stopped for speeding. The officer discovered that the man was driving with a suspended licence. The driver’s vehicle was impounded for seven days. He is scheduled to appear in traffic court on charges of driving under suspension and speeding.
